Reports

Production Costing includes a suite of built-in reports to give you full visibility into your manufacturing costs.

Available Reports​

Cost Summary by Work Order​

Displays the total cost — materials, labor, and overhead — for each production work order. Use this report to assess the profitability of individual production runs.

Key columns:

  • Work Order No.
  • Product
  • Planned Quantity
  • Actual Quantity
  • Total Material Cost
  • Total Labor Cost
  • Total Overhead
  • Total Cost
  • Cost per Unit

Variance Report​

Compares standard (expected) costs against actual costs to highlight areas of over- or under-spending.

Variance types shown:

  • Material Price Variance
  • Material Usage Variance
  • Labor Rate Variance
  • Labor Efficiency Variance
  • Overhead Spending Variance

Cost by Product​

Aggregates costs across all work orders for a given product over a selected period. Useful for pricing reviews and long-term profitability analysis.

Overhead Absorption Report​

Shows how much overhead was applied to production versus what was actually incurred, and the resulting over/under-absorption balance.

Cost Trend Analysis​

A time-series view of unit costs over multiple periods, helping to spot cost increases, seasonal patterns, or the impact of process improvements.

Exporting Reports​

All reports can be exported in the following formats:

  • PDF — for sharing and printing
  • Excel (.xlsx) — for further analysis
  • CSV — for integration with external tools

Scheduling Reports​

Reports can be scheduled to run automatically and delivered via email on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
